The Aroma Restaurant team is renowned for making guests feel extraordinarily special and welcome, as well as for the depth of their knowledge about Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine. Both have been with Aroma group since 2005, and are a wealth of information about food and wine. Their experience and talent are often credited with Aroma  retaining its awards

 

Executive Operation Chef, Nijamul Hoque

Joined Aroma in 2005 as Sous Chef and graduated to Executive Chef the following year. His expertise, talent and ambition have ensured that Aroma’s cuisine continues to receive praise from guests and critics alike. He is a rising star.

Nijamul Hoque’s interest in food began early, helping in family and friend restaurant’s but although his mother wanted her son to became someone special. Nij followed his heart and took on a waiter’s apprenticeship with the Shadwell Tandoori. He rose through the ranks to became a senior manager of the fine dining restaurant of Leeds.

After working in Shadwell Tandoori for seven year Nij and his brother’s decided to open Aroma in Northallerton in 2005.  Nij was Sous chef when it was opened and in the following year he was graduated to executive chef for his talent and ambition. Aroma Restaurant won a number of award’s in just under two years.
